Technical Procurement Staff (Mandarin Speaking)

About the role

Manage the procurement process for goods and services in accordance with the company's operational and project requirements, including sourcing, evaluating, and developing relationships with local and international suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the procurement process for goods and services in accordance with the company's operational and project requirements.
• Source, evaluate, and develop relationships with local and international suppliers.
• Communicate and negotiate with suppliers, including suppliers from China, regarding pricing, specifications, quality, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
• Request, evaluate, and compare quotations from multiple suppliers to ensure the best value in terms of cost, quality, and delivery.
• Prepare and process Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), and other procurement-related documentation.
• Ensure all procurement activities are completed in a timely manner to support project and operational needs.
• Coordinate with the Engineering, Project, Warehouse, and Finance teams throughout the procurement process.
• Monitor shipment status and ensure goods are delivered accurately and on schedule.
• Handle supplier claims and resolve issues related to product quality, quantity discrepancies, or delivery delays.
• Maintain and update the supplier database and conduct periodic supplier performance evaluations.

About you

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Procurement or Purchasing, preferably in the Engineering, EPC, or Construction industry.
• Proficiency in Mandarin (both spoken and written) is required to communicate effectively with suppliers from China.
• English proficiency is an advantage.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of import procedures and international procurement documentation is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Detail-oriented, well-organized, analytical, and able to work under pressure.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
