Technical Product Manager 2

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• As a PM for Test software, you’ll solve complex problems that our customers experience in their workflows, with a focus on our Electronics, Electromechanical and Embedded SW Test application areas.  Every day you’ll work with a highly collaborative team across R&D, the Business Units and several other functions to achieve our business goals and continually improve the experience for our customers. You will work on high impact projects as the Test Software team works to bring NI's software vision to life in our products. A successful Test Software Product Manager will define and implement product capabilities which are easy to sell, that deliver outcome-based added value to customers, and add to the BUs’ profitability.

Who You Are:

• Understand the market trends, competitive landscape carefully and with the in-depth understanding of our existing product, create a product vision and prioritize the new features and requirements
• Act as a domain expert and advocate/implements the best practices with the development team
• Understand the individual customer requirements carefully and create the Functional specifications, Use cases, mock-ups and other documents required for the development team to get going. Explain functional requirements to the development team
• Make sure that the solution that is designed and developed effectively meets the business objectives of the end user
• Validate/test the newly developed features and their impact on existing features. Demonstrate these new features to key stakeholders and get their feedback
• Work with UX team to create a pleasant user experience
• Act as the hub of the stakeholders for the application, interfacing with the customers, sales, consulting and development teams
• Act as an SME to reviews the training material and product documentation
• Supports BU Business Management in marketing and sales strategies including pricing, sales enablement, and customer training.
• Help Sales, Solutions Marketing, CCS and BU teams to support RFPs, RFQs, ongoing implementations and customer demos (preparation / delivery)
• As SME, act as the first responder for any functional queries or issues from internal and external teams

For This Role, You Will Need:

• 2+ years of experience in Product Management or Business Management
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Travel – up to 25% to global sites and customer locations as needed
