Technical Product Manager

About the role

The Technical Product Manager is responsible for leading the technical development, performance, and lifecycle of Shade Elements' product range. This role ensures that products are fit for purpose, commercially viable, and aligned with customer requirements and industry standards. It combines product development, technical leadership, training, supplier coordination, and quality assurance to support business growth and operational efficiency. The position plays a key role in connecting product, operations, sales, and suppliers to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality solutions. You will be working with one other in this area.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and introduction of new products
• Ensure all products meet required performance, durability, and compliance standards
• Manage the full product lifecycle from concept through to implementation and review
• Continuously assess and improve existing products to enhance quality and competitiveness
• Ensure products are properly tested, validated, and documented before launch
• Provide technical guidance to internal teams and customers
• Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues
• Develop and maintain quality control processes and standards
• Build and manage strong supplier relationships
• Manage multiple product and technical projects simultaneously

About you

• 2+ years' experience in a technical management role, preferably with awnings, blinds or window treatment industry

• Strong understanding of product design, materials, and manufacturing processes

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

• Strong problem-solving and analytical capability

• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to a range of audiences

• Strong customer focus and a commitment to delivering high quality products that meet and exceed expectations
