What they need
About the Role
We are looking for a Technical Product Manager (TPM) to lead our Vision Analytics & Vision Management System (VMS) vertical. You will bridge the gap between computer vision engineering and commercial scalability, driving both new 0-to-1 video intelligence capabilities and the optimization of our existing platform.
Your primary north star will be commercial ROI and unit economics: working closely with engineering to slash GPU compute costs, define hardware-sizing benchmarks, and turn high-compute vision models into profitable, scalable products.
What You’ll Do
- Own the product roadmap for video analytics and VMS, covering new builds and legacy modernization.
- Define and track unit-economics metrics such as cost-per-camera-stream and streams-per-GPU targets.
- Drive model quantization and compression initiatives in partnership with engineering.
- Set hardware-sizing benchmarks and guide edge vs. cloud deployment decisions.
- Translate customer and business needs into clear technical requirements and priorities.
- Balance accuracy, latency, and compute cost when making product trade-offs.
Key Requirements
- Vision Unit Economics & GPU FinOps: Proven track record of managing the infrastructure cost of computer vision products, specifically optimizing cost-per-camera-stream, defining streams-per-GPU density targets, and driving model quantization/compression initiatives alongside engineering.
- Greenfield & Brownfield VMS Ownership: Experience managing end-to-end video analytics products (CCTV/RTSP ingestion, VMS integrations, edge-to-cloud topology, alerting workflows) across both legacy system modernization and new product builds.
- Technical Trade-off Governance: Deep fluency in navigating accuracy (mAP) vs. latency (FPS) vs. compute cost trade-offs, utilizing product-level efficiency strategies like cascading inference, motion/ROI-triggered filtering, adaptive frame sampling, and edge vs. cloud workload balancing.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Strong ability to work with ML and infrastructure engineers and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on understanding of TensorRT, ONNX, DeepStream, Triton, or similar tooling.
- Experience with NVIDIA GPU platforms (T4, L4, A10, Jetson) and cloud GPU pricing models.
- Background in security, surveillance, retail, or industrial video analytics.
