What they need
Help shape the future of automotive data across Australia & New Zealand.
At InfoAgent, we make automotive data easy to access through modern APIs, intuitive web portals and AI-ready Model Context Protocol (MCP) services, helping businesses automate processes and make better decisions.
Every day, organisations across the automotive, finance, insurance, parts, fleet management and mobility sectors rely on our products to identify vehicles, power their systems and automate critical business processes.
Behind the scenes, we bring together data from more than 15 trusted sources across Australia and New Zealand and transform it into products used by more than 100 customers.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Technical Product Specialist to join our Auckland team. This is a newly created role and an opportunity to become one of the key product experts within our business.
About the role
This role sits at the intersection of customer support, product ownership and data analysis.
You'll spend your time understanding how our products work, helping customers solve technical problems, analysing vehicle data from multiple sources and working closely with our Product and Development teams to continually improve what we deliver.
No two days will be quite the same. One morning you might be investigating why a customer's API response isn't returning the data they expected. That afternoon you could be comparing two vehicle datasets, validating a new product or preparing requirements for our developers.
If you enjoy solving problems, learning how systems work and becoming an expert in a niche domain, you'll probably enjoy this role.
What you'll be doing
You'll be responsible for:
- Providing technical support for our customers across Australia and New Zealand
- Investigating customer questions relating to APIs, vehicle data and product functionality
- Analysing and validating data from multiple upstream providers
- Supporting the development and testing of new products and product enhancements
- Identifying opportunities to improve our products and customer experience
- Building deep expertise across InfoAgent's products, APIs and automotive datasets
About you
We're less interested in finding someone who ticks every box and more interested in finding someone who enjoys solving technical problems and learning new things.
You'll ideally have experience in areas such as:
- Technical support
- Business analysis
- Product analysis
- Customer success within a technology company
- Data quality or data operations
You'll also have the following personal attributes:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong Excel (or Google Sheets) capability
- Excellent written communication
- High attention to detail
- A genuine curiosity for technology and data
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with a distributed team
Experience working within the automotive industry would be an advantage, but isn't essential.
Why this role is different
This isn't a traditional customer support role.
You'll become one of the product experts within our business, working directly with our Head of Product and gaining exposure to every part of the product lifecycle.
You'll help shape new products, improve existing ones and play an important role in how we continue to scale our business across Australia and New Zealand.
Our culture
We're a small team with big ambitions.
Everyone at InfoAgent contributes beyond their job title, shares knowledge freely and works collaboratively to solve problems for our customers.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team, is naturally curious and takes pride in delivering great outcomes. Cultural fit is important to us because this role works across Product, Software Development, Sales and directly with our customers.
What we offer
- A newly created role with genuine opportunity to make an impact
- Exposure to the development of modern APIs, AI-ready MCP services and web portals
- Hybrid working based in Auckland
- Competitive salary based on experience
- An opportunity to work alongside a team with a combined 100+ years of experience in automotive data management & commercialisation
If you're naturally curious, enjoy solving complex problems and want to build expertise in data and digital products, we'd love to hear from you.
Other offers great for you!
