Technical Professional - After Sales Engineering (Multiple Positions Available)

We are recruiting for multiple technical positions across field-based and office-based roles to strengthen our After Sales division:

1. Electronic Technician/Engineer : (Diesel Engine Electronic Systems - Power Generation, Rail & Marine)
2. Mechanical Technician/Engineer : (Diesel Engine Mechanical Systems - Power Generation, Rail & Marine)
3. Executive Engineer - Project Coordination : (Customer Service Engineering & Project Management)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1.      Field Based (Technician/Engineer)

• Inspections & Compliance: Perform comprehensive inspections of diesel engine systems to ensure all regulatory and safety requirements are met, while adhering to industry best practices

• Diagnostic & Troubleshooting: Implement diagnostic, testing, and troubleshooting procedures to identify and resolve issues within engine systems and components using specialized equipment

• System Assessment & Recommendations: Assess system functionality and recommend necessary improvements, repairs, or upgrades to enhance performance and efficiency

• Maintenance & Repair: Utilize appropriate tools and equipment to perform maintenance and repairs, ensuring continued reliability and functionality of engine systems

• MRO Activities: Conduct Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) activities on engine components and systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability

• Preparation & Setup: Set up, assemble, and configure systems related to diesel and gas engines, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards

• Installation & Commissioning: Support installation and commissioning of engine systems, ensuring successful integration into power generation, rail and marine applications

a.     Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation of technical solutions across projects

b.     Documentation & Reporting: Document project progress and prepare detailed technical reports, including post-activity reports using MS Word to ensure clarity and traceability

c.     Quality & Safety Adherence: Ensure that all work adheres to safety regulations, company quality standards, and industry best practices throughout the project lifecycle

2.      Office Based (Executive Engineer)

Customer Response: Respond to customer requests for maintenance, repair, and overhaul of MTU Diesel Engines and monitoring systems

• Quotation Preparation: Prepare comprehensive quotations inclusive of manpower requirements, duration, spare parts, and overall project costs
• Work Coordination & Scheduling: Coordinate and discuss with relevant departments on manpower, special tools, and spare part requirements; assist in preparing work scheduling and maintaining delivery timelines
• Progress Tracking & Monitoring: Follow up and track records of all works and customer requests; review and monitor work progress with relevant parties
• Spare Parts Management: Prepare and submit spare parts requisitions to management for approval; track and follow up spare delivery with relevant departments
• Issue Resolution: Solve issues raised and provide advice/recommendations on work progression for continuous improvement
• Reporting & Documentation: Track and report MRO work progress to management; compile all relevant documentation and bills for invoicing
• Performance Evaluation: Evaluate project performance and present findings to management for review
• Business Planning: Prepare, submit, and review forecast work for budgetary planning; assist in preparing business plans for yearly projections
• Additional Duties: Handle any other duties and projects assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

1.      Education

• Minimum: Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent professional qualifications
• Advantage: Professional certifications in electronics, electrical, or mechanical engineering
• Fresh Graduates: Fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude are welcome to apply
• Alternative Qualifications: Relevant technical certifications will be considered equivalent to formal education

2.      Experience

• Entry Level: 0-2 years experience welcome for strong candidates
• Preferred: Previous experience with diesel/gas engines, power generation, rail, or marine applications
• Advantage: Hands-on experience with electronic control systems, diesel engines, power generation systems, marine propulsion, rail traction systems, gensets, alternators, cooling systems, fuel injection systems, engine monitoring equipment, or project coordination and management positions

3.      Technical Skills (Field Based Positions)

• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
• Proficiency in mathematics and technical calculations
• Experience with diagnostic equipment and system troubleshooting
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and system documentation
• Familiarity with industry-standard tools and software

4.      Software & Systems

• Proficient in MS Word for technical report writing
• Experience with SAP systems (advantageous)

5.      Communication & Interpersonal

• Languages: Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken)
• Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Relationship-building skills for internal and external collaboration
• Ability to interact effectively with all organizational levels including senior management
