Technical Program Manager

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager who's responsible for leading data engineering and Business Intelligence (BI) teams throughout the project development lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery of data solutions aligned with business objectives. The role combines project management, Agile delivery, technical leadership, stakeholder engagement, and team development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and influence technical teams and senior stakeholders on best practices in data engineering, SQL development, and BI reporting.
• Manage, mentor, recruit, and develop data engineers and BI developers, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and deliverables.
• Oversee the complete project development lifecycle, ensuring delivery milestones, objectives, timelines, scope, and resource requirements are met.
• Lead Agile teams and guide project implementation, ensuring effective collaboration and timely resolution of project challenges.
• Conduct regular technical and project meetings to review progress, address issues, and maintain alignment with project objectives.
• Work closely with project leadership to identify organizational impediments, measure delivery performance, and implement continuous improvement strategies.
• Establish standardized, reusable, efficient, and flexible delivery processes, practices, and tools.
• Promote continuous improvement by implementing lessons learned from Agile retrospectives and encouraging adoption of improved working practices.
• Manage customer expectations and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and internal departments.
• Evaluate hardware and software technology options, assessing costs, benefits, technical suitability, and business value.
• Oversee the maintenance, installation, and ongoing performance of production technologies.
• Manage project scope, schedules, resources, risks, and deliverables while ensuring quality and adherence to agreed objectives.
• Coordinate multiple projects and assignments, prioritizing activities to meet business and delivery commitments.
• Foster a collaborative team environment through coaching, knowledge sharing, performance management, and professional development.

Requirements

• 15–20+ years of project management experience, including at least two years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile projects.
• Experience completing at least 20 Agile project delivery cycles.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or an equivalent recognized Agile qualification.
• Hands-on experience with Agile project management tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps.
• Working knowledge of SQL, databases, data engineering, and BI reporting platforms such as Qlik and Power BI.
• Experience in the core banking domain is preferred.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, sprint planning, backlog management, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management experience, including coaching, mentoring, and developing technical professionals.
• Strong project planning, scheduling, scope management, resource allocation, and delivery governance skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management, customer relationship management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and collaborate across departments.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, supervisory, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
