Technical Program Manager -Telematics Systems

Technical Program Manager Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead the development, implementation, and execution of advanced Telematics Systems supporting connected vehicle communications. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams across hardware engineering, software engineering, vehicle integration, product management, and business stakeholders to deliver complex telematics solutions from concept through production.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, wireless communications technologies, and cross-functional leadership, with proven experience managing complex hardware and software development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of telematics programs and connected vehicle communication systems.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, checkpoints, and deliverables to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
• Collaborate with engineering and business leaders to translate strategic goals into product roadmaps and execution plans.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including hardware, software, systems integration, and product stakeholders.
• Define project deliverables, success criteria, and milestone requirements while ensuring accountability across teams.
• Track program progress, identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Establish and maintain program reporting processes to communicate status, risks, accomplishments, and resource needs to leadership.
• Manage resource allocation planning and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project priorities are met.
• Facilitate decision-making across engineering, product, and strategy teams to drive alignment and execution.
• Resolve project issues proactively and escalate critical concerns when necessary.
• Maintain focus on project objectives by removing obstacles and driving teams toward successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Engineering Program Management, or related leadership roles.
• Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional hardware and software development programs.
• Experience with wireless and RF communication technologies, including: LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi, GNSS/GPS and Cellular and telematics communication systems
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as: Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Project tracking and reporting platforms
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to influence teams without direct authority and drive alignment across multiple organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within highly regulated industries such as automotive, aerospace, transportation, or advanced technology.
• Background managing both hardware and software development programs.
• Experience leading products from concept, design, validation, and production launch.
• Supplier, vendor, and external partner management experience.
• Knowledge of connected vehicle technologies, embedded systems, and telematics architectures.
