Technical Project Buyer

NIJHUIS INDUSTRIES CENTRAL EUROPE as a part of Nijhuis Saur Industries – an international company leading in the field of water and waste technologies for the industrial sector, is looking to hire a Regional Procurement Officer. We are looking for a Technical Project Buyer who combines procurement expertise with a solid understanding of engineering, construction, and industrial projects. This role is ideal for candidates who have experience selecting subcontractors, installation companies, and technical service providers, evaluating technical and commercial offers, and supporting project teams during project execution. Key Responsibilities

• Source and select subcontractors, installation companies, and technical suppliers for industrial projects.
• Analyze and compare technical and commercial offers.
• Review technical documentation, drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities (BoQ).
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and contracts.
• Cooperate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Sales Team.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors.
• Monitor supplier performance, quality, delivery, and project execution.
• Identify cost optimization opportunities while maintaining technical and quality requirements.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, terms, and conditions.
• Ensure that procurement activities adhere to regional budgetary controls and reporting standards.

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 3 years of experience in technical procurement, project procurement, construction purchasing, or industrial sourcing.
• Experience working with contractors, installation companies, or technical service providers.
• Ability to evaluate and compare suppliers' technical and commercial offers.
• Good understanding of industrial, construction, mechanical, environmental, or process-related projects.
• Ability to read technical documentation and drawings.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Good command of English.

Nice to Have

• Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Process Engineering. (Napisałbym: Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering).
• Experience in water treatment, wastewater treatment, industrial installations, or EPC projects.
• Experience with project costing, tenders, and contractor selection.

We are particularly interested in candidates coming from engineering, construction, industrial projects, water treatment, EPC, or technical contracting environments rather than traditional corporate procurement roles.
