Technical Project Engineer

As a Technical Project Engineer at BMS Offshore, you are the technical backbone of our offshore projects.

You provide engineering expertise throughout the full project cycle, from preparation to execution, ensuring that technical solutions are not only feasible and efficient, but also meet the highest safety standards and client expectations.

In this role, you work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and offshore teams, translating engineering concepts and plans into practical, high-quality results in the field. You take ownership of the full engineering process, from drafting method statements and performing calculations to preparing technical drawings and work packs. During execution, you remain a key point of support, ensuring on-site operations align with the planned design.

The position offers room for personal development and innovation, with a good balance between autonomy and teamwork. While the focus is strongly technical, there’s also a moderate administrative component and regular interaction with clients, requiring clear communication and a problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical documentation: method statements, risk assessments, project task documentation;
• Develop technical solutions in line with project scope, specifications and offshore standards;
• Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors on design and feasibility;
• Perform or review engineering calculations and assist with drawings and 3D models;
• Provide technical input during project planning, tendering and execution;
• Support the offshore team during mobilization and operations;
• Data analysis and reporting.

Must Have

• Bachelor or Master degree in engineering;
• Strong analytical and technical skills in the technical field;
• A solid technical background and eye for detail;
• The ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes project environment;
• Good communication and reporting skills;
• Fluent in verbal and written English;
• Flexible and the ability to work in a high-stakes project environment;
• Pro-active and independent.

Nice to have

• Additional languages;
• A mechanical or electronic background.
