Technical Project Manager (Back-End Development) | Part-Time | Remote

Our agency client is seeking a Technical Project Manager (Back-End Development) to lead the rebuild of a legacy application. This role is ideal for a technically strong project leader who can manage client relationships, drive project execution, and partner closely with developers throughout the project lifecycle.

Location: Fully Remote

Hours: 20 hours/week to start, ramping up to 25 hours/week

Responsibilities

• Lead a client-facing application modernization project
• Help define project requirements and develop a formal SOW
• Facilitate meetings, daily standups, and project planning
• Create, assign, and manage project tasks and priorities
• Coordinate between client stakeholders and internal development teams
• Proactively identify risks, remove blockers, and keep projects on track

Requirements

• Proven experience managing software development projects from planning through delivery
• Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills - Must be able to speak to this
• Experience working with:
  • TypeScript
  • Node.js
  • PHP
  • MySQL
  • Docker
  • SSH
  • Git
• Ability to work within React-based applications
• Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable leading technical discussions
• Full-stack development background
• Experience with application rebuilds, migrations, or modernization initiatives
