What they need
POSITION SUMMARY
The Radiology Clinic (TRC) is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead and drive technical and clinical projects across our radiology services environment. This role requires strong project management and execution skills, an understanding of healthcare operations and clinical workflows, practical knowledge of radiology, and a foundational understanding of IT infrastructure and systems.
The primary focus of this position is project management and successful project execution. The Technical Project Manager is responsible for coordinating internal teams, customers, hospitals, and technology vendors to define requirements, establish milestones and timelines, assign ownership, manage dependencies and risks, and maintain accountability through project completion.
The Technical Project Manager will develop a strong working knowledge of TRC’s diagnostic imaging platform, customer onboarding process, clinical workflows, and technical integration requirements. While this is not primarily an engineering role, the Technical Project Manager must be capable of performing basic validation, verification, troubleshooting, and testing of data exchanged between customer systems and the TRC platform. This capability will allow the Technical Project Manager to support project activities and provide coverage when the Clinical Integration Engineer is unavailable.
This role serves as a key point of coordination between TRC’s technical teams, clinical operations, customers, and technology partners. The Technical Project Manager is expected to understand TRC’s platform and workflows well enough to identify issues, determine appropriate next steps, coordinate the necessary resources, and assist internal teams when needed.
The successful candidate will combine disciplined project management with practical technical and clinical knowledge, providing customers with a knowledgeable and dependable resource throughout onboarding, implementation, go-live, and ongoing operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage multiple concurrent technical, clinical, integration, and customer implementation projects.
· Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, action items, and deliverables.
· Own and serve as the internal subject matter expert for Zoho Projects, ensuring the platform is configured and used consistently to support TRC’s project management processes.
· Manage project setup, planning, and scheduling based on project priorities, resource availability, dependencies, and existing project commitments.
· Drive projects from discovery and planning through implementation, testing, go-live, stabilization, and completion.
· Establish clear ownership and accountability for deliverables across TRC, customers, partners, and vendors.
· Lead project meetings and status calls, ensuring action items are completed, blockers are addressed, decisions are documented, and next steps are clearly communicated.
· Proactively follow up with customers, partners, and internal resources on outstanding action items, deliverables, and deadlines, including prior to scheduled project status meetings.
· Identify project risks, delays, resource constraints, dependencies, and blockers. Develop appropriate next steps and escalate issues to the CTO when necessary.
· Coordinate technical, clinical, operational, customer, partner, and vendor resources required to successfully execute projects.
· Manage meeting participation and scheduling to ensure required stakeholders and resources are available for discovery, testing, validation, go-live, and other key project activities.
· Provide clear and concise project status reporting to the CTO, COO and other stakeholders, including progress, upcoming milestones, risks, blockers, dependencies, and outstanding decisions.
· Coordinate customer onboarding, technical discovery, implementation, testing, validation, and go-live activities.
· Develop and maintain a strong understanding of TRC’s customer onboarding process, clinical workflows, and diagnostic imaging platform.
· Coordinate go-live planning with internal teams and partners, including resource requirements, schedules, responsibilities, readiness, and go-live support.
· Own the project-related setup and coordination of TRC’s internal systems, including the appropriate linkage between systems and modules as customers transition from implementation to production service and ongoing support.
· Assist with customer validation and testing when required, including verifying that data is being received, processed, routed, and filed correctly within TRC systems.
· Provide customers and internal teams with basic guidance related to the functionality, workflows, and use of TRC’s diagnostic imaging platform, escalating technical issues to the appropriate technical resource when necessary.
· Maintain accurate and current project documentation so project status, ownership, decisions, outstanding items, and next steps are clearly visible to the CTO and project stakeholders.
· Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management, including assisting with additional projects, operational needs, and tasks that support the organization's business objectives.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· 3 to 5 years of Project Management, Technical Project Management or Program Management experience.
· 3 to 7 years relevant healthcare technology, radiology, clinical systems, or Healthcare IT experience.
· Experience working in health care environments, systems, Information technology and clinical workflows.
· Demonstrated experience managing technical projects involving multiple teams and organizations.
· Strong project planning, organization, documentation, and follow-through.
· Ability to manage milestones, deadlines, dependencies, risks, and competing priorities.
· Ability to hold internal teams, customers, and vendors accountable for commitments.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills across technical, clinical, operational, and executive teams.
· Practical understanding of IT infrastructure and healthcare technology.
· Occasional travel may be required, typically 2 to 4 trips per year, based on business and project needs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience with PACS, RIS, radiology reporting, EHR/EMR, or enterprise imaging systems.
· Familiarity with HL7 and DICOM.
· Experience with healthcare technology implementations or customer onboarding.
· Experience working with hospitals, imaging centers, radiology practices, or teleradiology organizations.
· PMP, CAPM, or similar project management certification is beneficial but not required.
CORE EXPECTATIONS
The Technical Project Manager is expected to know where each assigned project stands, what needs to happen next, who owns each action, when it is due, what is preventing progress, and what requires escalation.
This is an execution-focused project management position. The successful candidate will combine radiology and clinical workflow knowledge with practical technical understanding and disciplined project management to keep TRC's projects organized, accountable, and moving toward completion.
