Take ownership. Connect the teams. Deliver the result.
Great projects need someone who can see the whole picture—and keep the details moving. If you enjoy working with technical teams, solving problems, and turning customer expectations into successful deliveries, this opportunity puts you in a position to make a visible impact.
Connect Force is conducting a confidential search for a Technical Project Manager to oversee customer projects within an industrial manufacturing environment. This role brings together engineering, purchasing, production, and customers to keep projects organized, commercially sound, and on schedule.
Your Impact
You’ll serve as the central point of coordination throughout the project lifecycle, translating commitments into clear plans and helping teams work through challenges before they affect delivery.
What You’ll Do
- Lead assigned projects from order handoff through completion and customer acceptance.
- Establish project schedules, milestones, responsibilities, and delivery priorities.
- Coordinate engineering, purchasing, production, and other supporting departments.
- Monitor project costs, track progress against budgets, and flag potential overruns.
- Serve as the primary customer contact for project updates, open issues, and schedule changes.
- Review project requirements to ensure teams understand the agreed scope and deliverables.
- Manage scope changes, documenting their impact on cost, timing, and resources.
- Lead project meetings and maintain clear action items, ownership, and follow-through.
- Identify technical and scheduling risks and coordinate practical solutions.
- Maintain project documentation and support a smooth handoff at completion.
What You Bring
- Experience managing projects involving industrial equipment, engineered products, automation, or manufacturing.
- A track record of coordinating multiple departments and keeping competing priorities moving.
- Confidence discussing technical requirements with engineers, production teams, and customers.
- Experience with project schedules, budgets, change management, and reporting.
- The ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications.
- Clear communication, sound judgment, and a consistent approach to accountability.
- A degree in engineering, manufacturing, business, or a related field—or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience in project engineering or equipment delivery with increasing project ownership is also welcome. PMP certification is a plus.
Why Consider This Role?
- Own the outcome: Guide projects through meaningful milestones to final delivery.
- Stay close to the work: Collaborate directly with the people designing, sourcing, and building the solution.
- Build customer relationships: Become a trusted contact who provides clarity and follows through.
- Put your judgment to work: Help resolve challenges involving timing, cost, and technical requirements.
