What they need
Ever felt like you're managing project schedules rather than actually delivering engineering projects?
We're working with an innovative nuclear technology company developing a first-of-a-kind facility that will produce critical medical isotopes used in healthcare.
They're looking for a Technical Project Manager with an Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) background to take ownership of complex engineering and construction projects as the facility moves towards operation.
This isn't simply a position focused on tracking budgets and reporting progress. You'll be leading technical teams, solving engineering challenges and seeing projects progress from design through procurement, construction and installation.
What makes this opportunity different?
- Take real ownership. Lead engineering and construction projects, with responsibility for delivery, schedules, budgets and technical outcomes.
- Stay close to the engineering. Use your Electrical or I&C background to understand technical challenges, influence decisions and support the teams delivering the work.
- Work on first-of-a-kind technology. Help deliver a new nuclear facility supporting the production of critical medical isotopes.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams. Bring together engineers, construction teams, vendors and operations to keep complex projects moving forward.
- See the results. Take projects beyond the design stage and through procurement, installation and delivery, with a tangible impact on the facility's progress.
What experience would make you a good fit?
You'll ideally bring at least 5 years of technical project management experience, alongside a background in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation & Controls.
You'll be comfortable managing complex engineering projects, coordinating multiple stakeholders and taking responsibility for budgets, schedules and delivery.
Experience within nuclear, energy, industrial facilities or other technically demanding environments could be particularly relevant.
A degree in Electrical Engineering, I&C or a related discipline is required. Project management certification would be beneficial, but isn't essential.
Above all, we're looking for someone who understands the engineering, can make decisions and knows how to get complex projects delivered.
Interested?
If you're a technically minded Project Manager looking for greater ownership and the opportunity to help bring a first-of-a-kind nuclear facility into operation, I'd be happy to tell you more.
