Technical Project Manager

Role purpose

Manage engineering projects from planning through delivery. Own budgets, timelines, coordination and customer communication, with a basic working understanding of power electronics, motors and system integration to support effective project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Agree project scope, deliverables, and acceptance criteria with the customer and internal teams.
• Prepare and maintain project plans, activity schedules, milestones, resource requirements, and delivery timelines.
• Prepare project budgets; track engineering effort, materials, prototypes, testing and external costs against the approved budget.
• Coordinate hardware, software, PCB, mechanical, procurement, testing and supplier activities across assigned projects.
• Act as the customer contact for project execution. Communicate with each project activity, its status, next steps, dependencies and any changes through agreed updates.
• Conduct project reviews, record decisions and actions, assign owners and deadlines, and follow up until closure.
• Identify risks and delays early; escalate issues with their cost and schedule impact and a recovery plan.
• Manage scope changes through documented approval, and coordinate testing, documentation, customer acceptance and project closure.

Qualifications and technical understanding

• BE or BTech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or related engineering discipline.
• 35 years of relevant experience in engineering project management or project coordination, with responsibility for schedules, budgets, and customer communication.
• Basic working understanding of motor controllers, motors and power electronics applications such as DC–DC converters and chargers.
• Basic system-level understanding of how power supply, controller, motor, sensors, embedded software and communication interfaces work together.
• Ability to understand requirements and technical discussions, identify dependencies, and coordinate with engineering specialists.
• Strong planning, follow-up and communication skills; working proficiency in Excel and project tracking tools.
