Job description

At Thaumatec, we deliver high-tech software and hardware solutions ranging from pure cloud/web applications (.NET / Azure) to complex end-to-end IoT systems ("chip to cloud") and regulated solutions.

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager who will take full accountability for project delivery. In this role, you will not only manage schedules and budgets, but also actively oversee the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), challenge technical assumptions, and ensure engineering teams deliver robust, high-quality solutions.

Wrocław, Poland (Hybrid / On-site preferred)

You will:

• End-to-End Delivery : Lead software and technology projects from initial requirement analysis and scope definition through to release and handover.
• Technical SDLC Ownership: Drive the delivery process with full accountability for quality, architecture consistency, and deadlines, collaborating closely with Tech Leads and developers.
• Process & Quality Control: Audit development estimates, monitor technical progress, and identify technical debt, bottlenecks, or process gaps within the team.
• Client & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the main technical contact for external clients and internal decision-makers, providing transparent reporting and RAID management.
• Requirements & Agile Execution: Translate customer business needs into actionable technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Adapt Agile/Scrum/Kanban practices to maintain high delivery velocity.

Must haves

• 5+ years of experience as an IT / Technical Project Manager leading software projects.
• Strong technical background or Engineering Degree (Computer Science, Automation, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related engineering fields).
• Hands-on understanding of SDLC & Software Delivery: Ability to critically evaluate technical estimates, challenge team assumptions, and enforce quality standards.
• Experience in Software Delivery: Solid understanding of modern software architecture (e.g., Cloud, .NET, Web APIs, Microservices, or Embedded systems).
• Ownership & Leadership: Confident, proactive attitude with the ability to set clear expectations and hold technical teams accountable.
• Excellent command of English (C1/C2) for everyday business and technical communication.
• Proficiency in progress tracking tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar).

Nice to haves

• Experience in Regulated Environments / Medical Devices (ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 60601, or CE compliance is a strong advantage).
• Prior experience working in a Software House or IT consulting agency.
• Understanding of IoT ecosystems, embedded software, or hardware-to-cloud interfaces.
• Project Management Certifications (e.g., PMP, PSM, PSPO).
• Location in or near Wrocław for hybrid collaboration.

Salary:

B2B: 18,000 – 24,000 PLN (net + VAT)

Permanent Employment Contract (UoP): 15 000 – 20 000 PLN brutto (gross)
