Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale technical projects, driving cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and deliverables.
• Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and stakeholder expectations.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation plans, effectively managing project timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate project activities and tasks, assigning responsibilities to team members and providing guidance and support as needed.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, proactively addressing challenges to keep projects on track and minimise disruptions.
• Monitor project progress and performance, tracking key metrics and milestones, and providing regular updates to stakeholders and leadership.
• Foster collaboration and communication among project team members, stakeholders, and external partners, facilitating effective decision-making and problem-solving.
• Ensure adherence to project management best practices, methodologies, and standards, driving continuous improvement and innovation in project delivery processes.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor to junior project managers, offering guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
• Drive stakeholder engagement and manage expectations, building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP) preferred.
• Experience in the Financial Services Industry is preferred.
• Track record in Digital or Transformation project implementation.
• 10+ years of experience in technical project management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools, with proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, solve problems, and make decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Technical background with knowledge of software development, IT infrastructure, or other relevant domains.
• Experience leading Agile/Scrum teams and familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and drive results.
