Technical Project Manager / Consultant

Now you have the opportunity to join our continuously growing "Professional Services" team of Lufthansa Systems Hungária!

As a Technical Project Manager / Consultant you will participate in various Lufthansa Group IT projects.

In this role, you will focus on supporting Lufthansa Group in their NDC (New Distribution Capability) software implementation initiatives, ensuring smooth integration of externally provided solutions into the broader IT landscape. You will play a key role in orchestrating collaboration between internal teams and external partners, making sure that delivered solutions fit seamlessly into the existing ecosystem and align with group-wide expectations.

You will build consensus and drive collaboration across multiple stakeholders and solution groups as a key member of the LSYH Consulting team. Your ability to understand complex systems and organizational structures, and to connect technology with measurable business value, will be critical in this role.

You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.

Your role

• Lead and manage end-to-end IT projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope and budge.
• Coordinate collaboration between internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful solution delivery.
• Drive alignment between business needs and technical implementation within a complex enterprise environment.
• Ensure that solutions integrate effectively into the existing IT landscape and meet organizational expectations.
• Facilitate communication and alignment across different stakeholder groups on the customer side.
• Translate complex technical topics into clear, actionable plans for stakeholders with different levels of technical understanding.
• Monitor project progress, manage risks, and proactively resolve issues.
• Support teams with technical insights to ensure high-quality implementation.
• Work closely with architecture, development, infrastructure and operations teams to ensure alignment and feasibility of solutions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

You are looking for us, if You have

• Have MSc degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• Are willing to travel abroad occasionally (mostly in DACH region).
• Have more than 5 years of experience in IT, including software development and/or technical project management.
• Have solid knowledge of:
• full software development life cycle.
• design and development of Java Enterprise Applications.
• managing complex IT projects in cross-functional environments.
• Have a strong technical background and understanding of modern architectures (distributed systems, integrations, service-oriented architecture).
• Are comfortable working with engineering teams and understanding technical constraints.
• Have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Have strong decision-making skills and a proactive, delivery-focused mindset.
• Are able to quickly learn new technologies and methodologies.
• Are capable of navigating and understanding complex systems and organizational environments.
