Technical Project Manager - Java | BI-HBAEH

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Project Manager (TPM) in India to drive cloud-based software delivery for our higher education client. You will manage distributed engineering squads and ensure seamless global collaboration. This role requires deep, hands-on expertise with Java/Kotlin with Spring, React, PostgreSQL, and AWS to guide technical teams through implementation, debugging, and architectural decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple India-based squads (contract and full-time).
• Coach teams on best practices, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Align priorities and facilitate smooth handoffs with U.S. engineering and product leaders.
• Partner with U.S. engineering and product leaders to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
• Participate in architecture/design reviews with architects and senior/junior engineers.

• Oversee project lifecycle: planning, backlog grooming, estimation, sprint execution, and release coordination.
• Monitor milestones and proactively resolve risks.
• Represent India teams in cross-functional discussions; ensure transparency and timely status updates.
• Report on KPIs to U.S. engineering leadership
• Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and skill development.
• Set a high standard for performance and accountability.

Basic Qualifications:

• 810+ years in software engineering with full-stack development exposure.
• 5+ years in engineering/project management in distributed/global teams.
• Proven track record of managing complex projects from discovery through deployment.
