Technical Proposal Writer

InnoForge is partnering with a growing, venture-backed technology business operating within the US aerospace and defence sector.

The company is developing advanced technology for government and commercial applications and is looking for a Technical Proposal Writer to support its continued growth and expanding pipeline of government contracts.

This is a hands-on position offering the opportunity to take ownership of technical proposals, working closely with engineering and commercial teams to translate complex technologies into compelling, compliant submissions.

Unlike a traditional corporate proposal environment, you'll have genuine responsibility, direct access to technical stakeholders and the opportunity to help shape the proposal function as the business grows.

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop and write technical, management and past performance proposals for US government and defence customers.
• Lead responses across RFPs, RFIs, OTAs, BAAs, CSOs and SBIR opportunities.
• Analyse solicitation requirements, develop compliance matrices and ensure submissions meet relevant FAR/DFARS requirements.
• Work directly with engineering, business development and leadership teams to gather technical information.
• Manage proposal schedules, reviews and submissions across multiple opportunities.
• Develop reusable content, templates and processes to improve proposal efficiency.

What We're Looking For

• 3-5 years' experience in technical proposal writing within aerospace, defence or advanced technology.
• Experience supporting US government customers, ideally across DoD, NASA or other federal agencies.
• Strong understanding of government procurement processes and FAR/DFARS requirements.
• Experience with different acquisition vehicles, including RFPs, OTAs, BAAs and SBIRs.
• Ability to understand complex engineering concepts and communicate them clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience independently managing proposals from initial requirements through to submission.
• Comfortable working in a smaller, fast-moving organisation where you can take ownership.
