About the Role
  
We're looking for an experienced Technical Recruiter with a strong understanding of software development and technology talent.
This is a hands-on recruitment role focused on sourcing, engaging and qualifying technical professionals across software development and related technology disciplines.
You'll work closely with Australian recruitment consultants to understand technical requirements, identify suitable candidates, build specialist talent pipelines and manage candidates throughout the recruitment process.
This role is ideal for a recruiter who can go beyond keyword matching and develop a genuine understanding of technology stacks, development environments, technical job requirements and the skills that differentiate strong candidates.
  
Key Responsibilities
  
Technical Recruitment

• Recruit software development and technology professionals across the Australian market
• Source candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, SEEK Talent Search, Boolean search, job boards and professional networks
• Build and maintain technical talent pipelines for current and future vacancies
• Review CVs and assess candidates against technical requirements
• Conduct initial candidate screening and qualification interviews
• Understand candidates' technical backgrounds, development experience and technology stacks
• Coordinate interviews and manage candidates throughout the recruitment process
• Maintain accurate ATS and CRM records
• Provide regular candidate and market updates to recruitment consultants

Software Development Recruitment
Recruit across a range of software development and related technology roles, including:

• Software Developers
• Full Stack Developers
• Front-End Developers
• Back-End Developers
• .NET Developers
• Java Developers
• Python Developers
• JavaScript / TypeScript Developers
• React Developers
• Angular Developers
• Mobile Developers
• DevOps Engineers
• Software Engineers
• QA / Test Engineers
• Technical Leads
• Engineering Leads
• Solutions and Software Architects
• Other specialist technology roles

Sourcing & Talent Mapping

• Conduct targeted technical searches using Boolean and advanced sourcing techniques
• Identify passive candidates who may not be actively applying
• Conduct market mapping across software development and technology talent pools
• Research technical skill sets, technology stacks and candidate backgrounds
• Build specialist talent communities for future recruitment requirements
• Develop personalised candidate outreach campaigns
• Engage and nurture passive technical candidates

Candidate Management

• Build strong relationships with technical professionals
• Conduct structured screening and qualification conversations
• Understand candidate motivations, availability, salary expectations and career goals
• Clearly communicate role requirements and opportunities
• Coordinate interviews and candidate feedback
• Maintain regular communication throughout the recruitment process
• Deliver a professional candidate experience

Recruitment Delivery & Market Support

• Partner with Australian recruitment consultants on active technical vacancies
• Prepare qualified candidate shortlists and profiles
• Provide market intelligence on technical talent availability
• Identify hard-to-find skill sets and recommend alternative sourcing strategies
• Support recruitment campaigns across multiple technical roles
• Keep informed about changes in technology skills, tools and development trends

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of recruitment experience, ideally within technical or IT recruitment
• Strong experience recruiting software development professionals
• Understanding of software development roles, technical terminology and common technology stacks
• Strong sourcing, headhunting and talent-mapping capability
• Confident using LinkedIn Recruiter, SEEK Talent Search and Boolean search
• Experience screening technical candidates and assessing CVs against technical requirements
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Strong candidate relationship management skills
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable managing multiple technical vacancies simultaneously
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently
• Ability to learn new technologies and technical concepts quickly

Highly Preferred

• Australian technology recruitment experience
• Experience recruiting software developers and software engineers
• Experience recruiting across multiple programming languages and frameworks
• Experience with technical sourcing and passive candidate engagement
• Experience recruiting DevOps, QA, Cloud or Infrastructure professionals
• Experience supporting Australian recruitment agencies
• Familiarity with technology environments such as .NET, Java, Python, JavaScript, React, Angular or cloud platforms
• Business development or client-facing recruitment experience

• Consistently identify and engage passive technical candidates
• Deliver qualified shortlists for software development vacancies
• Demonstrate an ability to understand technical requirements beyond keywords
• Provide useful market intelligence and candidate insights
• Build strong relationships with software developers and other technology professionals
• Take increasing ownership of technical recruitment assignments
