Technical Report Writing

We are seeking a Civil or Environmental Engineer with strong written English to prepare technical reports for U.S. commercial real estate projects. The role involves reviewing inspection notes, photographs, property records, and environmental information to develop clear, accurate reports.

Candidates with experience in building assessments, civil engineering, environmental consulting, construction documentation, or engineering report writing are encouraged to apply. Previous experience preparing U.S. Property Condition Assessments (PCAs) or Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) is preferred.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare Property Condition Assessment reports using field inspection forms, photographs, and site notes, following project templates and applicable ASTM E2018 requirements.
• Describe building systems, document observed deficiencies, and prepare immediate repair and replacement reserve cost tables.
• Prepare Phase I ESA reports following ASTM E1527-21 requirements, including review of environmentaldatabase reports and historical property information.
• Review historical aerial photographs, fire insurance maps, city directories, and topographic maps to identify past property uses.
• Research publicly available U.S. property records, including building permits, zoning, code violations, and flood information.
• Identify missing or inconsistent information and coordinate with inspectors and reviewers to resolve questions.
• Address reviewer comments, maintain report quality, and meet agreed deadlines.

Required qualifications and skills:

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Strong written English, with the ability to explain technical information clearly and accurately.
• Relevant experience in engineering, environmental consulting, building assessments, technicaldocumentation, or report preparation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong research skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple assignments.
• Willingness to learn U.S. building terminology, property assessment methods, and reporting requirements.
