Technical Resource Engineer

Job Overview

The Precast Company is seeking a Technical Resource Engineer to promote and support innovative concrete products for drainage and engineering applications nationwide. This role combines technical expertise, market development, customer engagement, and industry relationship management, working closely with engineers, specifiers, customers, sales, and operations teams.

The ideal candidate will help identify market opportunities, educate industry professionals, and drive the adoption of engineered concrete solutions while representing the company with professionalism and integrity.

Responsibilities

· Present project-specific precast concrete solutions to civil engineers, contractors, TxDOT, and municipal clients.

· Promote new and existing precast concrete products to engineers, specifiers, end users, and internal teams.

· Develop and execute strategies to grow market share across the Houston/Gulf Coast territory.

· Collaborate with TxDOT, municipalities, and public works departments to influence and improve product specifications.

· Build and maintain relationships with customers, industry organizations, engineering firms, contractors, and key stakeholders.

· Serve as the liaison between engineering, sales, and operations to align product specifications with customer needs.

· Support market development, product education, and the introduction of new precast concrete products.

· Manage product listings and approvals on state and municipal QPL/APLs and coordinate specification revisions.

· Organize and deliver Lunch & Learns, plant tours, technical presentations, trade shows, and industry events.

· Maintain knowledge of competitive products, industry trends, and standards through organizations, training, and events such as ACPA, ACI, PCI, SASHTO, and Pipe School.

Minimum Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field preferred.

· Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or ability to obtain a PE license within 12 months.

· 3+ years of related experience in precast concrete, civil engineering, or infrastructure sales/technical support.

· Exceptional interpersonal and listening skills, with the ability to proactively solve problems and exercise sound judgment.

· Strong ability to interact effectively with a variety of people and personalities, including engineers, municipal officials, and internal teams.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as internet and database/ERP applications.

· Valid Texas driver's license with the flexibility/willingness to travel within the Houston service area for client visits and training as required.

· Effective time management and self-management skills, with a thorough, organized, and detail-oriented approach to work.

· Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
