Technical Sales and Support Engineer

We’re hiring a Technical Sales & Support Engineer at Proteus Industries Inc.

Proteus Industries is a liquid flow meter manufacturer. Our products are widely used by semiconductor equipment, automotive, and other industrial customers.

This customer-facing position will support our WeldSaver and Industrial fluid flow measurement product lines , working with customers, sales representatives, and distributors worldwide.

Key responsibilities include:

• Product selection, configuration, application, and troubleshooting

• Technical customer support and training

• Diagnosing electrical, mechanical, automation, networking, and application-related issues

• Supporting new product development and sales opportunities by capturing customer requirements

• Working cross-departmentally with Customer Service, Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and QA to support our customers

• Supporting product-related RMA investigations

• Developing technical presentations, application notes, training materials, and other customer-support documentation

We’re looking for:

• An engineering degree or equivalent technical/military training

• Customer-facing experience in technical support, applications engineering, or technical sales

• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, PLCs, industrial automation, OEM sensors, and industrial networking

• Experience with industrial communication protocols including EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, EtherCAT, IO-Link, Modbus, and related protocols

• Familiarity with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar industrial automation platforms

• Strong troubleshooting, communication, presentation, and customer-training skills

• The ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and customers worldwide

Experience with automotive robotic welding is a plus.

This position requires domestic and international travel, which may reach 10 - 20 % . Candidates must be able to maintain the appropriate passport and documentation required for international travel. You should live within commuting distance of Mountain View, CA.
