Technical Sales Consultant - Custom Electronics

Keyflex Electronics is a specialist Australian manufacturer with over 30 years' experience supplying custom electronic interface components to OEM customers across Australia, Asia and international markets.

Our products, including silicone keypads, membrane switches, flexible printed circuits and capacitive touch solutions, are designed directly into our customers' products.

As a small, technically focused team, we work closely with engineers, designers and manufacturers to support projects from concept through to production. We move quickly, value initiative, and give our people genuine influence over customer outcomes and business decisions.

We are seeking a Technical Sales Consultant to support existing customers and help grow our OEM business across Australia and Asia.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a hands-on, customer-facing role with a strong technical sales focus. In a small team environment, you will take ownership of customer relationships and projects end-to-end.

Key responsibilities:

·      Work directly with customer engineering and design teams to identify and support design-in opportunities

·      Provide practical technical guidance on materials, product design and manufacturability

·      Manage projects from concept and prototyping through to production and ongoing supply

·      Coordinate internally across quoting, sales entry, CSR, documentation, production and delivery

·      Build long-term relationships and become a trusted technical partner to customers

·      Contribute to business growth through new opportunities and customer development

Success in this role means taking ownership, winning design-ins, and seeing projects through to production in a fast-moving, low-bureaucracy environment.

About You

You're technically curious, enjoy working directly with customers, and are comfortable taking ownership in a small business where initiative matters.

We’re looking for:

·      Relevant experience in electronics, electromechanical or industrial product environments.

·      Experience in technical sales or customer-facing engineering roles.

·      Ability to understand drawings, specifications and manufacturing constraints

·      Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects independently

Highly regarded:

·      Experience with custom components such as silicone keypads, membrane switches, touch interfaces or flexible circuits

·      Exposure to CAD or design tools (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Adobe/CorelDRAW)
