SUMMARY: A leading industrial automation business is looking for a technically minded Technical Sales Engineer to develop customer relationships, identify new opportunities, and provide automation and instrumentation solutions to industrial and manufacturing customers.

POSITION INFO: Job Description Develop relationships with end users, OEMs, system integrators, consultants, and key decision-makers Identify new sales opportunities and develop projects within industrial and manufacturing environments Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable automation and instrumentation solutions Provide technical and commercial support from initial enquiry through to sales and after-sales Manage quotations, sales opportunities, customer visits, and CRM activity Grow existing accounts while developing new customers and business opportunities Support technical presentations, exhibitions, campaigns, and customer events Coordinate with internal technical and commercial teams to deliver customer solutions Keep up to date with automation, digitalisation, and Industry 4.0 technologies Skills & Experience 4-5 years' experience in industrial automation, process control, instrumentation, or a related manufacturing environment Strong understanding of sensors, instrumentation, industrial automation, and networking solutions Technically minded with the ability to translate customer requirements into practical solutions Proven commercial or customer-facing experience with strong sales aptitude Experience engaging with engineering, production, procurement, and senior decision-makers Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems Willingness to travel as required Food and beverage industry experience will be advantageous Qualifications Relevant tertiary or technical qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Automation, Instrumentation, or a related field Valid drivers license Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
