Technical Sales Engineer

JM Canty International Ltd is a Process Engineering company with facilities in Buffalo NY and Dublin, Ireland. The company specialises in the manufacture of process lighting, sight glasses, vision-based process control systems, and particles sizing systems for a variety of industries including the Pharmaceutical, Cement, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Glass and Mining Industries.
To meet increased demand in the European, Asian and Mid-East markets JM Canty is expanding operations in Dublin. The role for an Technical Sales Engineer will be based at JM Canty’s Dublin facility. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious engineering professional to join a dynamic, growing team. The role will be primarily focused on, but is not limited to;
Sales Support to an international network of sales representatives

• Phone/email sales support for international sales representatives.
• Generate quotations for customers/representatives.
• Technical Support for Canty products.
• Product demonstrations and product training for customers and representatives.
• Lease with design department on the design of custom units.
• Draughting of proposals on how to utilize Canty vision based technology for specific projects.

As the successful candidate develops in the role, additional responsibilities may include, but not limited to ;

• International travel to meet potential customers, attend conferences and trade shows, and also to perform commissioning of vision based process instrumentation systems.
• Involvement on R&D projects for new product applications as required

The Candidate;

Essential:
Educated to degree level in a relevant science or engineering related discipline e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Systems, Physics.
Desirable: Relevant experience within an engineering environment. Knowledge of the chemical, pharmaceutical, oil & gas industries, with driving licence and a visa free passport.
