Technical Sales Engineer – Smart Metering

At Meter&Control, we develop and manufacture smart meters, communication devices, and software solutions for Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI). We are looking for an engineer who wants to apply their technical knowledge in working with customers and help them identify the right solutions for their needs.

If you have experience with electronic meters and smart metering systems and are interested in technical challenges, international collaboration, and customer interaction, we would love to meet you.

As part of our Technical Sales & Customer Solutions team, you will work closely with Sales, R&D, and other technical teams. We are looking for a mid-level engineer with relevant technical experience who is eager to develop customer-facing skills and gradually take on greater responsibility in this area.

Your responsibilities

• Understanding customers’ technical requirements and matching them with the capabilities of our products and AMI solutions.
• Participating in technical discussions, presentations, demonstrations, and workshops with customers and partners.
• Preparing technical responses and materials, and collaborating with R&D, Quality, Certification, and Technical Support teams to address customer inquiries.
• Providing technical support during integration, testing, and pilot projects, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
• Sharing market feedback with internal teams and participating in customer visits, industry events, and trade fairs in Serbia and abroad.

What we are looking for

• A university degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Electronics, Automation, or a related technical field.
• At least three years of relevant experience with electronic meters, smart metering systems, or related energy and communication systems.
• Good knowledge of electronic meter functionality and AMR/AMI systems, as well as communication technologies such as PLC, RF, or cellular networks.
• The ability to analyze technical requirements and explain technical topics clearly.
• An interest in working with customers and developing presentation skills.
• Proficiency in English and a valid Category B driving licence, with a willingness to travel for business.

Knowledge of DLMS/COSEM and relevant IEC standards, as well as experience in the smart metering industry, will be considered an advantage.
