What they need
Syngenta is seeking a commercially minded Technical Sales Representative to grow our Vegetable Seeds business across Western Australia.
In this field-based role, you will partner with key growers, industry leaders and other stakeholders to understand their needs, strengthen relationships and position high-performing vegetable seed varieties. You will combine technical agronomy capability with strong sales discipline to deliver sustainable growth, market insight and exceptional customer outcomes.
What you’ll do
- Deliver territory sales targets and grow market share across Syngenta’s vegetable seed portfolio.
- Build trusted relationships with key growers, customers, influencers and industry partners.
- Develop and execute annual territory sales, commercial demonstration and trial plans.
- Coordinate and monitor on-farm market trials and commercial demonstrations across WA.
- Introduce and position new varieties with growers, translating product benefits into practical cropping solutions.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, market intelligence and customer account plans.
- Work closely with internal colleagues to identify and deliver shared opportunities.
- Maintain timely customer, sales and trial records through relevant CRM and reporting tools.
What you’ll bring
- A degree in Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Agribusiness or a related discipline; or substantial equivalent industry and agronomic experience.
- Practical experience in technical sales, agronomy, agricultural services or customer relationship management.
- A sound understanding of vegetable production, horticultural markets and grower requirements; experience in the ANZ Vegetable Seeds industry is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated commercial capability, including sales growth, account management and forecasting.
- Strong communication, planning and relationship-building skills.
- The initiative and self-direction to manage a large territory and deliver against agreed priorities.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and CRM systems; experience with Salesforce, SAP or trial-capture tools is advantageous.
- A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly throughout Western Australia, with occasional interstate and overseas travel.
This is an opportunity to make a visible impact in a specialised market, working closely with growers to bring innovation from trial to commercial success. You will be part of a collaborative team focused on delivering profitable growth, accelerating innovation and simplifying how we work.
