TECHNICAL SERVICE ASSOCIATE

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintenance and Asset Management

   • Assists in establishing, maintaining, and updating the plant and LPG facility maintenance and asset database
   • Maintains equipment records, maintenance history, inspection results, breakdown records, equipment specifications, and other asset information
   • Supports the planning, scheduling, and monitoring of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities
   • Tracks maintenance completion, equipment availability, recurring failures, overdue activities, and outstanding corrective actions
   • Assists in identifying equipment requiring repair, rehabilitation, replacement, or upgrade based on maintenance history and condition

2. Data Management and Technical Reporting

   • Collects, consolidates, validates, and analyzes maintenance, equipment, project, and inspection data
   • Prepares regular reports, dashboards, trackers, presentations, and other technical summaries for management review
   • Monitors key maintenance and asset performance indicators such as equipment uptime, downtime, maintenance completion, equipment failures, and corrective action closure
   • Ensures technical records, drawings, manuals, inspection reports, certificates, permits, and equipment documentation are properly maintained and readily available
   • Supports the Technical Engineer in developing maintenance strategies and recommendations based on available data and equipment history

3. Engineering and Project Support

   • Assists the Technical Engineer in the planning, development, implementation, and monitoring of LPG engineering and maintenance projects
   • Conducts site surveys, field measurements, data gathering, equipment inventory, and documentation required for project development
   • Assists in preparing scope of work, Terms of Reference (TOR), technical specifications, cost estimates, bid documents, and technical evaluations
   • Maintains project trackers covering schedule, budget, procurement status, contractor progress, punch-list items, and project completion
   • Participates in project inspections, testing, commissioning, turnover, and documentation
   • Monitors project activities and reports deviations in scope, schedule, cost, quality, or HSSE requirements to the Technical Engineer

4. Plant and LPG Facility Technical Support

   • Provides field support for maintenance and technical activities involving LPG tanks, pumps, compressors, vaporizers, piping systems, firefighting systems, electrical equipment, instrumentation, and other plant equipment
   • Assists in inspections and condition assessments of LPG plant and industrial/commercial installations
   • Supports troubleshooting activities and coordinates technical concerns with contractors, suppliers, plant personnel, and other concerned departments
   • Assists in monitoring the condition and utilization of LPG equipment and assets

5. HSSE and Regulatory Compliance

   • Supports compliance with company Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) requirements and applicable government regulations
   • Assists in conducting compliance checks, technical inspections, and safety audits of LPG filling plants and industrial/commercial LPG installations
   • Tracks findings, recommendations, and corrective actions until closure
   • Assists in preparing and maintaining technical documents required for regulatory permits, inspections, and renewals
   • Ensures that contractors comply with approved work procedures, permits, safety requirements, and applicable technical standards while performing maintenance and project activities

6. Contractor, Supplier, and Procurement Coordination

   • Coordinates with Procurement, contractors, suppliers, Operations, Sales, HSSE, and other concerned departments regarding maintenance and engineering requirements
   • Assists in sourcing LPG equipment, spare parts, materials, and appurtenances
   • Supports technical bid evaluation and comparison of contractor and supplier proposals
   • Monitors contractor mobilization, work progress, documentation, and completion of assigned activities
   • Assists in evaluating contractor performance, particularly in terms of safety, quality, schedule, and technical compliance

7. Emergency and Operational Support

   • Supports the Technical Engineer in responding to equipment failures, LPG facility emergencies, customer technical concerns, and other urgent maintenance requirements
   • Assists in gathering technical information, documenting incidents and equipment failures, and monitoring corrective actions
   • Coordinates with concerned personnel and contractors for immediate technical support when required

8. Training and Continuous Improvement

   • Assists in organizing safety, technical, and maintenance training for contractors and concerned personnel
   • Maintains training records and assists in identifying competency or technical knowledge gaps
   • Supports initiatives aimed at improving equipment reliability, maintenance efficiency, safety performance, asset utilization, and technical work processes
   • Participates in the development and implementation of digital tools and systems for maintenance and asset management

Qualifications

Education

• Registered Mechanical Engineer (RME)
• Graduates with academic honors or a strong academic record are preferred
• Candidates with relevant internship, OJT, academic project, or hands-on exposure to industrial facilities, maintenance, manufacturing, oil & gas, or LPG operations will be an advantage
