Job Description

Advance your career while impacting our Federal Civilian government operations business area as a Technical Service Delivery Director at GDIT.

The Technical Service Delivery Director will work within a dynamic and growing portfolio of programs within GDIT’s Federal Civilian division, reporting to and working alongside the Vice President, Programs. Our environment is fast-paced with a world class team applying emerging technologies for critical customer challenges. You will lead program teams for successful execution, organic growth, and strong service delivery within the portfolio.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Technical Service Delivery Director, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the missions of our Department of Commerce, Labor and Interior programs.

Strong technical skills in cloud, IT modernization, application development, and emerging technologies

• Supports multiple teams and provides technical program delivery guidance for the successful execution of contractual requirements
• Supervises assigned technical and administrative staff, including subordinate managers, and performs personnel actions including hiring and performance evaluations
• Directs program activities to meet client and organization work objectives and serves as a liaison with clients to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, solve problems, and execute in alignment with the Contract, PWS, PMP, QASP, etc.
• Assures quality of program products, services, and deliverables, including participating in reviews, audits, and site visits
• Works directly with the portfolio Vice President to ensure programs are delivering on client objectives and maintaining high CPARs
• Coordinates and monitors sub-contractor activities and administers subcontractor deliverables
• Develops, reviews, and approves plans, schedules, consulting agreements and other program documents
• Prepares and provides various reports and technical reviews to senior management as requested
• Facilitates Innovation sessions for programs, customers and senior leaders
• Ensures compliance with relevant corporate and government policies and standards
• Acts as a mentor and coach in order to build and maintain high performing teams
• Demonstrated ability to lead high-value, high‑complexity programs with P&L responsibility (aligned to Program Execution Senior Director expectations)
• Proven experience establishing KPIs, dashboards, governance routines, and delivery performance mechanisms (from Program Execution frameworks)
• Experience leading modernization in multi-domain environments (cloud, data, cybersecurity, automation, DevSecOps)
• Ability to influence senior executives, shape growth strategy, and identify new business opportunities within existing customer portfolios
• Experience ensuring compliance with federal standards such as FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800-53, Zero Trust, or enterprise governance processes

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Bring your cyber expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Technical Service Delivery Director must have:

• Education: Bachelor's degree required

• Experience: 15+ years of professional experience, including at least 10 years of experience in service delivery excellence

• Technical skills: Demonstrated experience overseeing modernization programs and multi-team cross-functional delivery (cloud, cyber, data, infrastructure, mission systems)

• Security clearance level: Must have an active Secret clearance in order to be considered

• US citizenship required

• Role requirements:

• Prior experience supporting the following agencies: DOC, DOL, DOI, DOE

• Experience leading programs with revenues $50M+ or managing multiple programs

• Demonstrated experience overseeing modernization programs and multi-team cross-functional delivery (cloud, cyber, data, infrastructure, mission systems)

Certifications: Preferred, but not required

• PMP
• SAFe Agilist or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC)
• AWS, Azure, or multi-cloud certifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Strong leadership, business acumen, people management and proactive customer service skills

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $170,000 - $230,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
