Technical Service Engineer (Ethanol & Alcohol) - Brazil

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced technical professional to provide enzyme application support and technical solutions to customers in Brazil and South America.

This role focuses on technical services, process optimization, customer engagement, and market development in the ethanol and alcohol industries. Job Responsibilities

1. Technical Service & Customer Support: Provide technical consultation to customers in the ethanol and alcohol industries, addressing production challenges related to fermentation, distillation, enzyme applications, yield improvement, contamination control, and energy efficiency.
2. Process Optimization & Application Trials: Analyze production processes and raw material variations, recommend enzyme application strategies, and lead or participate in on-site application trials and technical data validation.
3. Customer Engagement & Technical Presentations: Conduct technical exchanges, deliver presentations at industry seminars, and provide professional recommendations to help customers improve production efficiency and product quality.
4. Market Development Support: Work closely with local sales teams to identify customer needs, support commercial discussions, strengthen customer relationships, and explore new business opportunities in Brazil and South America.
5. Technical Training: Provide product knowledge and application training to internal sales teams and local business partners.
6. Industry & Market Insights: Monitor raw material trends, production technologies, and customer requirements to identify opportunities for technical improvements and business expansion.

Job Requirements

1. Master’s degree or above in Fermentation Engineering, Bioengineering, Brewing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.
2. Relevant technical experience in the ethanol/alcohol or bakery industry, particularly in fermentation, enzyme applications, production technology, process optimization, R&D, or technical services.
3. Experience in both alcohol and bakery applications is highly preferred. Candidates with a strong background in either industry will also be considered.
4. Strong understanding of industrial production processes, enzyme application principles, and technical data analysis, with the ability to develop practical solutions for customer production challenges.
5. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to provide technical consultation, conduct training, and collaborate with customers and commercial teams.
6. Sales experience is an advantage. Candidates with technical or R&D backgrounds and strong customer-facing capabilities are also encouraged to apply.
7. Willingness to travel frequently within Brazil and South America and work on-site at customer facilities when required.
8. Must be a Brazilian citizen or hold valid authorization to work in Brazil.
9. Portuguese or Spanish proficiency is preferred but not mandatory. Good English reading and writing skills are an advantage.
