Technical Service Engineer – Glass Manufacturing

About the role

Provide technical support and advice on glass packaging to customers, Sales, and manufacturing plants. Investigate glass breakage, leakage, finish defects, filling-line issues, and customer complaints. Identify whether issues originate from the product, production, transportation, storage, or customer operations. Support new product and filling-line trials at customer sites. Provide technical training and recommendations on glass handling, storage, filling, and packaging.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate glass breakage, leakage, finish defects, filling-line issues, and customer complaints
• Identify whether issues originate from the product, production, transportation, storage, or customer operations
• Coordinate problem-solving with Quality, Production, Engineering, Sales, and Supply Chain teams
• Prepare technical investigation reports, 8D reports, and corrective action plans
• Support new product and filling-line trials at customer sites
• Provide technical training and recommendations on glass handling, storage, filling, and packaging
• Follow up on corrective actions and prevent recurring customer complaints

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Production, Materials, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
• 2–5 years of experience in Technical Service, Quality, Production, or Process Engineering
• Knowledge of root cause analysis, 8D, CAPA, FMEA, SPC, and quality tools
• Strong customer service, presentation, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Good command of English and proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Able to travel frequently to manufacturing plants and customer sites
• Experience in glass packaging, food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or filling-line operations is preferred
• A valid driving license is preferred
