Technical Service Head

About the role

Develop strategic Capital and Master plans to support the annual and long term (3-5yrs) business plans for the Company, in general and the Supply Chain, in particular. Ensure execution and completion of annual and long-term plans and the implementation of projects in the safest, highest quality/workmanship, and in the most cost-effective manner within the approved budget and timeline. Develop strategies, systems and innovations to improve current Supply Chain (manufacturing & warehousing) processes, operations and performance. Introduce new technologies (automation, digitization, and the like) that will address current issues and/or make the Company achieve a leading edge in manufacturing and warehousing.

Key responsibilities

• Review detailed analysis of plans, projects and options presented by TSD, Factory & Warehouse teams; evaluate cost to benefit impact and decide on the best option for the Company
• Present plans and projects and secure agreements from relevant stakeholders
• Influence, recommend and secure approval of plans and projects from GLT based on the best option
• Define & drive completion of annual goals, KPIS, KRAs and delivery of excellent results of the TSD team
• Manage Capital and TSD Operating budgets; ensure that spend and carryovers targets are met as planned
• Lead governance meetings to track key projects and resolve issues; provide updates to relevant leadership teams in the Company
• Visit Factories to monitor projects and find improvement opportunities
• Coach, develop and train direct reports to prepare them for their current & future expanded responsibilities and opportunities
• Lead the TSD & Factory teams in generating ideas, conducting feasibility studies, process optimization, machine standardization and projects as part of continuous improvement
• Enable & facilitate factories in troubleshooting, rootcause analysis, generation of corrective & preventive actions and other assessments to address Operational Equipment Effectiveness (OOE), capacity, engineering, and safety issues

About you

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical)
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in a food manufacturing company in Engineering, Production, EHS, quality and warehousing
• Strong competence on Engineering, project management, leading direct teams and project teams
• PRC licensed and current
• Computer literate - Microsoft office, MS Project
• Competence in GMP, HACCP, BOSH
• Critical thinking to provide objective analysis and create science/engineering-based solutions
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
• Can communicate clearly and have good listening skills
• Demonstrate high integrity and reliability
