Technical Service Manager

We’re looking for an experienced Technical Services Manager to lead the technical delivery function of a well-established, growing Auckland MSP.

This is a hands-on leadership role – ideal for someone who enjoys leading and mentoring engineers but still has the technical depth to step in with the team and with clients when required.

Technical Skills We’re Looking For

• Microsoft 365, Entra ID & Azure
• Windows Server
• Networking – firewalls, switching, wireless & WAN
• Backup & Disaster Recovery
• Endpoint management
• RMM & PSA platforms – NinjaOne and ConnectWise highly desirable
• IT Glue / technical documentation
• Patch management & compliance
• SLA, incident, problem & escalation management
• AI-assisted service delivery / automation

You’ll lead the Managed Services engineering team, drive technical standards and service quality, manage complex escalations and ensure backups, patching, documentation and client environments are maintained to a high standard.

We’re looking for someone who understands the realities of an MSP environment – SLAs, aged tickets, engineer utilisation, billable targets and delivering great technical outcomes for multiple clients.

The role provides ongoing professional develoment including opportunities to attend industry conferences, technical conventions, keeping up to date with emerging technologies and best practice.
