About the Role

Position Overview

We are seeking a Technical Service Representative to support customers with wastewater treatment applications, polymer chemistry, and water treatment solutions. This position will combine technical expertise, hands-on field service, troubleshooting, and customer relationship management. The ideal candidate will have experience working with industrial wastewater treatment, polymers, coagulation/flocculation, clarification, dewatering, and related treatment processes. This individual will work directly with customers to evaluate treatment challenges, recommend solutions, conduct field testing, optimize chemical programs, and provide ongoing technical support.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service and support to industrial customers utilizing wastewater treatment and polymer-based solutions.
• Evaluate wastewater treatment processes and identify opportunities to improve treatment performance, efficiency, and overall operating costs.
• Conduct jar testing, field trials, polymer evaluations, and treatment system optimization to determine appropriate chemical solutions.
• Assist customers with the application and optimization of polymers, coagulants, flocculants, and other water treatment chemicals.
• Troubleshoot wastewater treatment issues involving clarification, solids separation, sludge handling, and dewatering.
• Work directly with customers to understand their treatment challenges and develop practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Perform on-site customer visits, equipment evaluations, chemical trials, and system assessments.
• Monitor treatment results and make adjustments to chemical feed rates, application methods, and treatment processes as needed.
• Provide technical training and guidance to customer personnel on chemical applications and treatment processes.
• Maintain detailed records of field testing, treatment results, customer interactions, and recommendations.
• Partner with sales and technical teams to identify opportunities for improving customer processes and expanding applications.
• Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with customers through responsive technical support and consistent follow-through.
• Travel throughout an assigned territory to support customers, conduct trials, and provide technical service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related technical field preferred.
• Experience in wastewater treatment, water treatment chemicals, polymers, chemical applications, or a related technical industry.
• Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes and chemical treatment principles.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical problems and translate technical information into practical customer solutions.
• Strong communication and customer relationship skills.
• Comfortable working independently in the field and managing multiple customer accounts.
• Willingness to travel regularly throughout an assigned territory.
• Ability to perform hands-on field work in industrial and wastewater treatment environments.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to document testing, results, and customer recommendations.
