Technical Service Technician

About the role

Saquosen Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a Technical Service Technician to join our growing team in Kulai, Johor. This is a full-time position, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and servicing our water and waste engineering systems. As a Technical Service Technician, you will be instrumental in ensuring optimal performance of our equipment and on site chemical services , directly contributing to the reliability and efficiency of our operations. This role offers the opportunity to develop technical expertise within the water treatment sector.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance, inspection, onsite water analysis and servicing of water and equipment and systems at client facilities
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical faults in water treatment and related systems
• Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components whilst adhering to safety standards and best practices
• Document maintenance activities, service reports, and equipment performance data accurately
• Respond to emergency service calls and provide timely technical support to minimise downtime
• Collaborate with senior engineers and other team members to resolve complex technical issues
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and health and safety requirements during all service operations
• Provide technical advice to clients regarding equipment operation and maintenance procedures
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and keep vehicle fleet serviced
• Contribute to the development and improvement of service procedures and documentation

What we're looking for

• SPM or Qualification in science, engineering, or a related technical discipline from a recognised institution
• Relevant certifications in water treatment, wastewater management, or mechanical/electrical systems (preferred)
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in technical service, maintenance, or field service roles within the water treatment industry, fresh graduate also welcome to apply.
• Strong knowledge of water treatment processes, wastewater systems, pumps, compressors, and related mechanical equipment will be added advantage.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques for industrial equipment
• Competency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively
• Valid driving licence with a clean record, as this role involves travel to client sites
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively whilst adhering to schedules
• Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
• Physical fitness to perform manual tasks, work at heights, and operate in various environmental conditions
• Willingness to undertake ongoing training and professional development
