Technical Services Coordinator

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Technical Services Co-ordinator based at Hill Biscuits Limited, Ashton Under Lyne, Manchester, UK

About the Role:

The purpose of this role is to ensure that products and processes achieve compliance to business and customer expectations. Thus, comply with food safety and quality standards, with special focus on customer requirements both internal and external

Ensuring support in all activities to engage all site colleagues in quality and food safety improvements and initiatives.

You will support in technical activities to engage all site colleagues in quality and food safety improvements and initiatives.

Your duties will include (but not be limited to):

· Communicating details of any out of specification / WIP / Finished products to the relevant on-site departments

· Day to day support of management FSQM and food safety systems.

· Complete customer questionnaires relating to product.

· Completion and issuing of internal specifications where required

· Complete customer questionnaires relating to product.

· Technical Artwork approval-legal compliance inc barcode generation

· Respond to customer queries effectively and in a timely manner

· Completions of factory documentation when required.

· Ensure launch dates are met with respect of internal communications and documentation

· Ensure all documentation is in place through all relevant departments ensuring the transition from concept to launch is accurate and right first time.

· Conducting internal systems audits ensuring compliance to COP and relevant standards and third-party audits e.g. BRCGS

· If required conduct GAP analysis against COP and relevant standards and escalation of issues working with initiative to drive action close outs with all departments.

· Where required, play an active role during external/internal audits, ensuring the relevant departments have been pre-audited and carried out any required corrective actions.

· Support sites continual improvement plans.

· Adhere to site Health and Safety policies and procedures.

· Ensuring full document control of all documents relating to Food Safety.

About you:

You will have experience of working within a similar role in manufacturing (FMCG), food manufacturing, specifically bakery, would be advantageous.

Your attributes, skills, qualifications, and experience will include:

· Food Safety level 3

· HACCP Level 2

· Legal Labelling.

· Basic microbiology is advantageous.

· Internal auditor training would be advantageous.

· Strong knowledge of BRCGS, Food Defence, GHP and GMP.

· Strong people skills to be able to build rapport, strong working relationships and an influential approach in teams of different geographical areas.

· Ability to manage change.

· Excellent communication skills at all levels.

· Time management and organisational skills.

· Ability to work on own initiative.

· Decision making and problem-solving skills.

· Attention to detail and ability to process data quickly and accurately

· Commercial awareness.

Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00-16:00

Pay: £27,750.00 per year
