Technical Solar Sales Consultant

About the role

You're the person who helps farmers and business owners understand their energy use, identify opportunities, and make confident investment decisions. You'll combine your electrical expertise with strong relationship-building skills to assess sites, recommend tailored solar solutions, and guide customers from initial consultation through to signed contract. You'll have real autonomy, direct access to company leadership, and the opportunity to shape how a growing solar business engages with customers.

Key responsibilities

• Conducting on-site solar assessments for agricultural, commercial, and residential customers
• Inspecting electrical infrastructure and identifying installation requirements
• Presenting tailored solar and battery solutions that deliver measurable value
• Building long-term relationships with farmers, rural businesses, and commercial clients
• Managing opportunities from enquiry through to contract signing
• Working closely with our installation team to ensure smooth project delivery
• Developing referral networks and generating new business opportunities
• Representing Supreme Solar across your region

About you

• Current New Zealand Registered Electrician Licence
• Strong understanding of electrical systems
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
• Ability to translate technical information into practical advice
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
• Full driver's licence
• Solar industry experience is an advantage but not essential
