  • Provide technical leadership and coaching to engineering staff.
  • Act as the technical escalation point for complex customer and product issues.
  • Liaise with engineering teams in Japan regarding product improvements, technical issues and development opportunities.

Technical Solutions & Customization

  • Develop processes for local product modifications and customer-specific solutions.
  • Evaluate opportunities for local assembly and value-added technical activities.
  • Support technical feasibility assessments and solution development.
  • Drive standardization of engineering processes, documentation and change management.

Quality & Regulatory Capability

  • Support the development of internal quality and regulatory processes.
  • Act as the primary internal counterpart for external notified bodies, consultants and regulatory experts.
  • Establish and maintain technical documentation, design controls and change management processes as required.
  • Support future healthcare and pharmaceutical market initiatives from a technical compliance perspective.

Software & Integration

  • Support the development of software and systems integration capabilities where relevant.
  • Assess customer requirements for connectivity, automation, reporting and data integration.
  • Coordinate technical activities involving interfaces, applications and system integration.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Sales, Service and Operations teams.
  • Support customer visits, technical reviews and strategic opportunities.
  • Provide technical input for new market initiatives, including healthcare and pharmaceutical applications.
  • Contribute to business planning, investment proposals and capability development initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant technical and engineering experience.
  • Experience leading technical projects, engineering teams or capability-building initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of industrial equipment, automation systems and technical troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in an international environment.
  • Fluent in English.

Preferred

  • Experience within food, pharmaceutical, inspection, packaging or automation industries.

  • Exposure to quality systems and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience working with Japanese or other international engineering organizations.
  • Knowledge of software integration, industrial communication protocols or automation systems.
  • Knowledge of healthcare, medical device or pharmaceutical compliance environments.

Personal Characteristics

  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability.
  • Builder mentality with the ability to create structure where processes are still evolving.
  • Strong technical curiosity and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Comfortable working in both operational detail and long-term planning.
  • Collaborative leader capable of influencing across functions and cultures.

Travel Requirements

  • Occasional travel within Europe.
  • Periodic travel to Japan and other Anritsu locations.
  • Approximately 15-25% travel.
