About You

OLEOLOGY is seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer to drive business growth in Malaysia by identifying opportunities, developing client relationships, and providing tailored water treatment solutions. You will be responsible for the timely, accurate and efficient preparation & management of proposals and tender documents. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, sales acumen, and a passion for environmental and engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in water treatment, filtration, and related industries.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and industry stakeholders.
• Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
• Prepare and deliver technical sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to close deals while ensuring profitability.

Technical Expertise & Solution Development

• Understand OLEOLOGY’s water treatment technologies and recommend the most suitable solutions to clients.
• Work closely with engineering and R&D teams to customize solutions based on project requirements.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for customers before and after sales.
• Conduct product demonstrations and site visits to assess client requirements.
• Keep up-to-date with technological advancements and regulatory requirements in the water treatment industry.

Project & Client Management

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution and client satisfaction.
• Monitor project timelines and coordinate with engineering and production teams for timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market intelligence in CRM systems.

Reporting & Strategic Planning

• Prepare reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market insights for management.
• Provide feedback to R&D and product development teams based on customer needs and industry gaps.
• Develop strategies to penetrate new markets and enhance the company’s presence in Malaysia.

Key Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of water treatment, filtration, and industrial wastewater management.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with environmental regulations and water quality standards in Malaysia.

Sales & Business Acumen

• Proven ability to generate leads, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
• Experience in solution-based selling, preferably in B2B industrial or environmental sectors.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to develop business strategies.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong relationship-building skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

Problem-Solving & Project Management

• Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to solving client challenges.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, or related field).
• 3+ years of experience in technical solutions, water treatment, or related industries.
• Hands-on experience in water filtration, separation, or environmental solutions is an advantage.
• Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and presentation software.
• Willingness to travel within Malaysia for client visits and project discussions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including, vendors and fabricators.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
