About the company:

Our client is a venture-backed, seed-stage startup building AI products for enterprise teams, including LLM-powered workflow automation and retrieval-based tools that plug into existing systems. The team is small, technical and moving fast. Early hires shape both the product and the go-to-market approach.

The role:

This role sits between engineering and the commercial team. You’ll use your software background to understand customer problems, build proofs of concept, and help turn technical conversations into partnerships. It suits an engineer who enjoys talking to people as much as writing code and wants a clear path into solutions or partnerships leadership.

Day to day:

• Joining discovery calls with prospective customers to understand their data, systems and pain points
• Building quick demos and proofs of concept in Python and TypeScript to show what the product can do in a customer’s context
• Scoping integrations and translating customer requirements into clear briefs for the core engineering team
• Writing technical content such as solution overviews, integration guides and short case studies
• Representing the company at meetups, AI community events and partner meetings
• Feeding customer insight back into the product roadmap
• Gradually owning a pipeline of technical accounts and partnerships

Tech stack:

• Python (FastAPI, Django)
• TypeScript (React / Node)
• LLM APIs and frameworks, plus retrieval/vector databases
• PostgreSQL
• Docker, AWS or GCP
• GitHub, CI/CD

What we’re looking for:

• 3–5 years’ professional software engineering experience, mainly in Python and/or TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI or Django and building APIs
• Curiosity about AI and LLM applications (side projects count)
• Strong communication skills and confidence explaining technical ideas to non-technical people
• Interest in the commercial side of a startup: customers, deals, partnerships
• Nice to have: client-facing experience, consulting, developer relations or pre-sales exposure

• Base salary up to £85,000, depending on experience
