Airswift is recruiting Technical Specialists for a leading client in the nuclear industry . We have two positions available : one focused on electrical systems and the other on mechanical systems . We are looking for experienced professionals with strong technical expertise in their respective disciplines.

Duration: Long-term contract (renewed annually)

Location: McGuire Nuclear Station, North Carolina

Schedule: Full-time | Office & Field-Based

Position Overview

We are seeking a senior Technical Specialist to support major heat exchanger, secondary systems, and equipment replacement projects at a nuclear generating station. This role provides technical oversight throughout the project lifecycle, from planning and design reviews to field implementation and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform plant walkdowns and provide technical input during project planning and design.
• Support the implementation of equipment replacements, modifications, and plant upgrades.
• Review drawings, work packages, procedures, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with engineering, planning, quality, and construction teams.
• Provide field support during installation and execution activities.
• Assist in resolving technical issues and supporting engineering changes.
• Participate in pre-job briefs and ensure work is executed safely and in accordance with design requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in nuclear, power generation, or heavy industrial environments.
• Experience with heat exchangers , secondary systems , and plant equipment replacement projects.
• Background supporting modifications, upgrades, maintenance, or capital projects.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, procedures, and technical documentation.
• Strong field execution and implementation experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work in both office and field environments and utilize required PPE.
