Technical, Standard Software (Virtual Final)

• WHOOP is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team within the Hardware Accelerate team, which builds the software platform that enables and enhances hardware and embedded development
• This team’s work is critical to delivering robust systems that streamline internal workflows and empower engineers to focus on breakthroughs in product and hardware
• In this role, you will have both technical and people management responsibilities
• On the technical side, you’ll work closely with embedded engineering teams and internal stakeholders to refine requirements and scope scalable solutions
• You’ll support the team in shaping technical designs, architecture, and operational best practices, helping maintain high standards for reliability, flexibility, security, and user sentiment
• On the people side, you’ll lead and mentor a team of hardware-oriented software engineers by providing regular feedback and fostering professional growth
• You’ll be instrumental in promoting a positive, high-performance culture grounded in innovation, teamwork, psychological safety, and continuous learning
• Lead and manage a team of engineers responsible for building platforms that integrate with embedded and hardware systems and initiatives
• Define technical strategy, architecture, and design for features that support those hardware development-focused initiatives
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to understand embedded and hardware development needs and translate them into scalable systems
• Maintain engineering best practices in development, testing, and deployment processes
• Serve as a player-coach by contributing technically while driving team delivery and growth
• Provide regular mentorship, feedback, and coaching to team members to support their professional development and growth
• Foster a culture of innovation, psychological safety, collaboration, and continuous learning
