Technical Superintendent

About the role

We are currently partnering with a Singapore Shipping company for a technical superintendent ( no need COC ) for managing their tankers vessels in Singapore. This position reports to the Technical Manager and involves managing assigned vessels to maintain operational readiness and technical standards in compliance with flag state, national, classification, and oil terminal regulations. The role requires effective management of vessel downtime, performance monitoring, and coordination across departments.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain assigned vessels operationally ready and at required technical standards at all times
• Ensure compliance with flag state, national state, classification, and oil terminal rules, regulations and requirements
• Manage vessel downtime effectively to expedite return to operational status
• Monitor and take prompt appropriate actions to improve vessel performance including fuel management, budget control, and company planned maintenance system
• Follow up and close out audited non-conformances and observations within due dates
• Review and evaluate crew performance
• Plan and attend to assigned ships' periodical and occasional docking
• Attend to and follow up on third party claims relating to ship matters
• Collaborate with HSSE team in incident investigation and complete investigation reports
• Provide feedback during company schedule meetings on performed tasks

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma in Marine Engineering or related educations
• Sea-going experience is an added advantage
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position / NO COC is require
• Willing to undertake short overseas assignment
• Demonstrated capability in difficult negotiations
• Proficient in MS Office
• Those from outside Singapore is also encourage to applied as we do have opening outside of Singapore such as Malaysia, Hong Kong, Japan and Dubai for technical, marine or shipping opening
