, with a fleet of oil/chemical tankers and cement carrier vessels seeks a

Technical 

Superintendent.

Responsibilities :

• Monitors the technical performance of oil/chemical tankers and cement carriers, including all aspects of technical operations, maintenance and repair and takes required actions, onboard the ships according to IMS policies, rules/ regulations, industry standards and makers' recommendations.
• Evaluates findings and provides feedback to the Technical Manager.
• Issues maintenance instructions and coordinates and monitors works/repairs.
• Inspects ships and issues attendance reports, including comments about their condition and equipment.
• Monitors Class and Flag requirements & ships' certificates and plans/supervises the necessary surveys timely, considering operational constraints.
• Organizes spares’ requisitions and monitors the efficient and timely supply of all spare parts/stores/services necessary for the ships' proper maintenance and safe operation, in liaison with the Purchasing Department.
• Prepares DD specifications, considering the requirements of Company standards, PMS reports, and applicable legislation.
• Cooperates with the Marine S/Ts to ensure ships achieve optimum performance, consistent with commercial obligations, as well as rectification of all identified deficiencies.

Requirements:

• A C/E's license or an academic degree from a Technical Institution recognized by the National Authorities
• Theoretical and practical experience in maintenance and repairs
• Well-established previous work experience of minimum 4 years in tanker industry
• Good working knowledge of the English language
• Adequate PC skills
• Knowledge of ERP / Danaos
