About the role

JGQ Group of Companies is seeking a Technical Supervisor to join our team in Makati City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our technical services and facilities. As Technical Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing technical operations, managing maintenance activities, and leading a team of technicians to deliver high-quality service standards. This role is essential to supporting our company's operational excellence and customer satisfaction objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of technician teams to ensure all maintenance and technical tasks are completed efficiently and to standard
• Monitor equipment and systems performance, identifying maintenance needs and implementing preventive maintenance schedules
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities and technical installations to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions to resolve equipment failures or system malfunctions
• Train and mentor technician staff on proper procedures, safety protocols, and technical best practices
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment performance data
• Prepare reports on technical operations, identifying areas for improvement and cost optimisation opportunities
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with relevant safety regulations and company policies
• Communicate with clients or internal stakeholders regarding technical status, scheduling, and service delivery
• Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and technical materials

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a technician or in a technical supervisory role within the trades and services industry
• Strong knowledge of technical systems, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate technical teams effectively
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with team members and stakeholders
• Proficiency in maintaining records and preparing technical reports
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the trades and services sector
• Ability to work efficiently with time management and organisational skills
• Technical qualifications or certifications relevant to the field would be advantageous
• Experience in training and developing junior technician staff is preferred
