Technical Support & Customer Service Specialist

WISP Assist | Network Operations Center (NOC)

Location: In-office – Downtown Great Falls, MT
Pay: $15.00–$17.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time
Experience: No technical experience required
Training: 2 months of structured paid training, followed by hands-on, on-the-job training

Start a Career in Technology, We'll Teach You How!

Are you a natural problem-solver? Do you enjoy helping people, learning new things, and figuring out how things work?

At WISP Assist, we're looking for motivated, dependable individuals to join our growing Network Operations Center (NOC) team.

We provide technical support services to internet service providers and their customers. Our team helps troubleshoot internet connectivity issues, monitor networks, and keep customers connected.

You don't need a background in technology to succeed here!

We provide the training, tools, and guidance you need to develop valuable technical skills and build a career in a growing industry.

What matters most to us is your attitude, work ethic, communication skills, and willingness to learn.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Technical Support & Customer Service Specialist, you'll be part of a team that helps customers resolve technical problems while delivering an excellent support experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Answering incoming customer support calls and providing friendly, professional assistance.
  • Troubleshooting internet connectivity and network-related issues.
  • Monitoring network systems and identifying potential service interruptions.
  • Creating, updating, and documenting technical support tickets.
  • Communicating clearly with customers about troubleshooting steps and service updates.
  • Working with teammates, internet service providers, and technical teams to resolve issues.
  • Following established procedures while continuously developing your technical knowledge.
  • Taking ownership of customer concerns and working toward effective resolutions.

Who We're Looking For

We're not necessarily looking for someone who knows everything about computers or networking.

We're looking for someone with the right mindset.

Our ideal team member is:

  • Customer-focused: You genuinely enjoy helping people and understand the importance of a positive customer experience.
  • Reliable: You show up on time, follow through on commitments, and understand that your team depends on you.
  • Curious: You enjoy learning, asking questions, and understanding how things work.
  • A problem-solver: You can think through challenges, remain calm under pressure, and work toward solutions.
  • Coachable: You're open to feedback, willing to improve, and eager to develop new skills.
  • Detail-oriented: You understand the importance of accurate documentation and following procedures.
  • A team player: You communicate respectfully, support your coworkers, and contribute to a professional work environment.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment are important.

Previous experience in customer service, call centers, hospitality, or technical support is helpful, but not required.

Training & Development

No technical experience? No problem!

At WISP Assist, we provide comprehensive, paid training to help you build the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to succeed.

Phase 1: Structured Training (First 2 Months)

  • Monday–Friday training schedule.
  • Learn networking fundamentals, troubleshooting techniques, customer service procedures, and our support systems.
  • Receive hands-on instruction and guidance from experienced team members.
  • Develop the foundational skills needed to confidently assist customers.

Phase 2: On-the-Job Training

After completing your initial training, you'll transition into your assigned work schedule and begin supporting customers while continuing to receive coaching and guidance.

As your skills develop, you'll take on greater responsibility and work more independently.

Our goal is to give you a strong foundation, followed by real-world experience and ongoing support.

Work Schedule & Availability

This is a full-time, in-office position at our downtown Great Falls location.

While initial training takes place Monday–Friday, regular work schedules may include evenings, overnight shifts, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Schedules are assigned based on operational needs, and applicants must be willing to work weekends if required.

We aim to provide consistent schedules so employees can plan their time outside of work.

What We Offer

  • $15.00–$17.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
  • Comprehensive paid technical training.
  • Dental and vision insurance.
  • Paid time off.
  • Opportunities for professional development and advancement.
  • Real-world experience in networking, troubleshooting, and technical customer support.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented work environment.
  • An opportunity to develop valuable skills in a growing technology industry.

Why Join WISP Assist?

At WISP Assist, we believe technical skills can be taught, but a great attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine desire to help others make all the difference.

We're building a team of people who take pride in their work, support one another, and continuously strive to improve.

Whether you're looking to start a career in technology, transition from another industry, or develop new professional skills, this could be an excellent opportunity.
