Technical Support Assistant/Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Support Personnel to provide administrative and technical support to both the Engineering and Quality departments. This role plays a key part in ensuring engineering documentation, quality records, process improvements, and project activities are effectively coordinated to support daily manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll be doing

• Provide administrative and technical support to the Engineering and Quality teams.
• Prepare, maintain, and control engineering documents, work instructions, technical specifications and quality records.
• Coordinate Engineering Change Requests (ECR), Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and document revisions.
• Compile and analyse engineering and quality performance data including KPIs and reports.
• Coordinate internal meetings and follow up on action items with cross-functional teams.
• Liaise with Manufacturing, Planning, Supply Chain and other departments to ensure smooth execution of engineering and quality initiatives.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and coordinating audit activities.
• Assist in process validation, First Article Inspection (FAI), PPAP/APQP documentation (where applicable), and new product introduction (NPI) activities.
• Maintain engineering and quality databases, filing systems and records to ensure accuracy and traceability.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Engineering Manager or Quality Manager.

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related technical field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently, prioritise tasks and manage multiple assignments.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficient in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is required to liaise with Mandarin speaking colleagues and headquarters).
