Job Overview

BG-Graspointner is a leading provider of high-quality channel drainage and water management solutions for commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and public realm projects. We are seeking a proactive and technically minded Technical Support to join our team and play a key role in supporting customers, contractors, engineers, architects, and merchants throughout the project lifecycle.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical aptitude and a passion for delivering excellent customer service. You will provide expert guidance on drainage solutions, assist with project take-offs, calculate catchment areas, review drainage layouts, and ensure customers receive the right products and technical support for their applications.

Working closely with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and the wider Technical Team, you will help ensure BG-Graspointner continues to deliver industry-leading solutions and support across the UK market.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and product guidance for BG-Graspointner channel drainage systems and associated products.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and site plans to identify suitable drainage solutions.
• Carry out quantity take-offs from construction drawings and project documentation.
• Calculate catchment areas and assist with hydraulic sizing and drainage capacity assessments.
• Support customers with installation guidance, best practices, and product selection.
• Prepare technical proposals, product recommendations, and supporting documentation.
• Respond to technical enquiries from contractors, civil engineers, architects, consultants, local authorities, and merchants.
• Work closely with the sales team to identify opportunities and support project specification activity.
• Assist with the preparation of project submittals, product data sheets, and technical quotations.
• Maintain accurate records of technical enquiries and project activity within company systems.
• Liaise with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve technical queries and deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Stay informed of industry standards, regulations, and best practices relating to surface water management and drainage design.

Skills & Experience (Not Essential)

• Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret engineering and construction drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical ability.
• Confidence in calculating quantities, areas, and basic hydraulic requirements.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers and colleagues.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and enquiries simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• A customer-focused approach and a proactive problem-solving mindset.

Pay: £26,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
